A Run Through the Sugar Bowl

by Ryan on February 16, 2010

So um, Mt. High opened new terrain…very unexpectedly. About 3 days ago, the grooming crew started taking laps off the backside of Inferno Ridge along an access road and patrol cleared it for public use. This area is popular on pow days and it’s even more popular now. Click on through for a pictorial tour of the trail, then go up to the mountain and check it out for yourself.

The road, this run is as green (trail rating wise) as can be.

Little cut off trail that skips the U in the road and gets you to the lower portion of the road, it’s fun to straightline this and see how far up the other side of the hill you can get.

This hill.

Dropping down into the lower half of the trail.

Winding through the trees.

…Winding…

…Winding…

You get it now…

Around this corner you have an option of dropping into The Reef and popping out by the Bullwheel or continuing along the road and popping out at the top of Easy Street. This run is really fun and when you drop in it’s like a totally different world. Check it out.
