Mikey Radziwons Memorial

We are going to honor a great man this Saturday at the Mountain High East Resort, Mt. High was his home so where better to send him off. This is the link to the event page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#!/event.php?eid=115218525196804. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we know how many people are attending, the mountain is providing food and drink so we need a rough number. There is no dress code, Mikey was bright and wouldn’t want anyone to limited on what they wear.

Remembering A Friend

As some of you may know, one of the Mt. High groomers passed away this week. Jeremiah Pebley was a great snowcat operator and overall a great person. His experience stemmed from his early days at world famous Snow Summit and Bear on to Snow Park Technology and finally to Mt. High. He was responsible for many huge events such as the X-games and U.S Open, as well as countless photoshoots. I personally worked with him many long hours this season and it’s sad to lose him. For more on his life please see this article on Snowboardermag.com: Jeremiah James Pebley

I Have A Bone To Pick

Okay Bear, I know with your new website layout centered around a blog you can spew more bullshit than ever. And boy have you been laying it on thick, the spiels about how these are the best conditions ever, that you pay hundreds of pro’s to ride there, etc etc. I get it, it’s marketing but god damn it makes you sound like desperate idiots.

Now with this latest thing (ad above) how you describe JP Walker ‘first ever’ trick…that trick is on a one of a kind feature! He could have 5050′d it and it still would have been the first ever! Calm the hell down with your stupid marketing, great you had the first park back in the 90′s and have since fallen by the wayside and have felt increasingly threatened by other resorts, trust me it shows. Cut the marketing bullshit, you’re going to be jam packed on weekends and after it snows REGARDLESS of what stupid shit you say on your website. /rant

Is This A Joke?

Please tell me it is. LAME. For Bear being so “original” this is just dumb, almost Mt. High status. Come on guys, ENOUGH marketing gimmicks. Shit.

Winter Returns Next Week

Looks like things are finally going to turn around. SoCal looks to get hammered with possibly 2 weeks of heavy snowfall. It’s still a ways out but if forecasts hold true this could be the storm series of a lifetime. I’ll post more details later and as they come available.

Have An Idea?

Are you tired of being ignored about your amazing park idea? Do you have something that will change the way people look at parks? Or maybe you just have a simple idea that you would like to see. Well here’s your chance. The groomers up at Mt. High have put together a little weekly contest where YOU submit a design and one lucky person will have their design chosen to be built. Simply go to the Mt. High forum, get yourself an account then hit up this link: Faultline Jib Entry Thread. I’ll work on a way to enter your ideas outside of the forum but for now start thinking then head on over and submit your idea!
